Distancing

Fay Slimm.

Distancing.

Time-given hope sickens yet

clings to torn veils.

Train whistles awayness

with distancing rails.

Faith blurs in acceptance

of tear-saddened eyes.

Would forgiveness relieve

deceitful goodbyes ?

Cold comfort-thoughts clutch

love's fast sinking pyre.

Heart wavers as anger climbs

 each day higher.

Come lately she asks why with

betrayal found

Spent echoes of romance still

sigh extra loud.

Don't ya just hate goodbyes ... I think the term its self is often something of a misnomer ......... perfectly penned in such style as only our dear Lady Fay can pen em .. 🙂

So much emotion in your words Fay, saying goodbye can be so hard to do.
