Chess

John Prophet

Chess.

Reflecting.

Reflecting

life.

Endless

moves

to be

made.

Subtleties

then

attacked.

Catching

unaware.

On guard,

constantly

on guard.

Less your

flank be

down.

Making

ripe for

the kill!

Moving

for position.

Always

on the

edge.

Life,like

chess

reflecting.

Jockeying

for position.

Stepping over.

Knocking

down.

Life like

chess a

sophisticated

game.

Deadly

to the

end.

    So true John.
I play croquet and one form of croquet is looked upon as playing chess in some ways in the moves you make in trying to prevent your opponent running a hoop.

Seems most human competitive games align with the realities of existence.
      Battle then smite your opponent.
      Thank you for reading.

      a timeless metaphor
      worded so accessible,
      but unlike life
      Chess, offers a Draw-path
      of an escape...
      a wonderful read, thank you

Yup, life is definitely a tougher game.
        Thank you for reading.
