This Light.

Goldfinch60

I look out and all I see is grey,

The greyness of this new day.

I will go out into it and walk,

Walk all day and knowing

That the sun is there,

There behind the grey

Thus giving all this light,

This light in my life.

              • dusk arising

That song reborn on our TVs these days in the LLoyds bank advert always makes me think of my son and how he and his partner have built, day by day into the fabulous (Oh that word from the 60's LOL) unit they have become.
Of course us old codgers are a long way from 'only just begun' and taking the words of your poem to heart is a must for us.

Grey days are still days which are lit by the eternal light which gave us life and preserves life.

                Into my favourites Andy.

                • Goldfinch60
