I once trusted but got burned
Had a friend but they turned
Never again a doormat I be
From now on I take care of me
Consider it lessons learned

Getting burned, and burned again is one of the routes to becoming a poet I guess. Starts us pouring our feelings out onto paper/screen. Letting it all out.
I think you express well an emotion we have all felt and often fail with, tripping over ourselves only to repeat those same words again.
