the joy of garden beauty fades
blossoms yellow, pink and red
lose dayglow's vibrant hue
sinking into the now greying mass
where tended lawn and border lay
night threatens
dusk creeps from the shadows

Yep, oh woe, the nights are drawing in now - we're past the Longest Day.
Help, I'm wishing the year away here!
It's getting colder too isn't it.
Good write, Dusk.
A hot summer is upon us. The Garden requires a lot more water to stay vibrant.
Thanks Jerry. Here in the UK it feels cold for this time of year.
.. very much enjoyed DA ..
🙂
Thank you Neville.
Nicely written Dusk. However, 'Dusk creeps from the shadows'? What were you doing in them?!!!
I am a creature of dark places.
Ooooooooo!
We know that the beauty will be back tomorrow when the light reappears.
That last line has me worried - are you creeping from the shadows in my garden d a. 😉.
Andy
