🎶To whom do I turn when I talk to God?
To whom do I really pray?
Where is the song when the words have gone?
Do I pray to a lonely light instead?
I poured my soul in a heart of glass.
When the autumn sun turned red.
The only thing not lost my lass.
Was your cry inside my head!
I pray for your light from a dying star.
That flames in my heart every day.
I pray for the light that comes in the night.
That comes from your star far away.
I poured my soul in a heart of glass.
When the autumn sun turned red.
The only thing not lost my lass.
Was your cry inside my head!
I’ll cry alone.
I’ll cry in vain.
I’ll cry out the Father’s name.
At the water’s edge I’ll hold you my love.
Hold You….
Hold You….
Hold You in my arms Again!
I’ll cry out the Father’s name.
I’ll hold you in my arms Again!
I poured my soul in a heart of glass.
When the autumn sun turned red.
The only thing not lost my lass.
Was your cry inside my head!
I pray for your light from a dying star.
That flames in my heart every day.
I pray for the light that comes in the night.
That comes from your star far away.
The only thing that they did not take.
Was your cry inside my head!
Your cry inside my head!
Your cry inside my head! 🎶

- Comment from author about the poem: Sorry I haven't been on here lately, BUT the VA had me running back & forth for all kinds of Pre-Op for a Heart Procedure today. Then it got canceled, after a sleepless night last night. That I tried to put to good use with this Song. Don

I'm not very musical, and can't normally keep a tune, Don - but this one came to me and I felt I could sing it - in my head at least....really really good.
I hope by now your Op is on and all went well. 'Looking forward to another post from you soon.
That cry may be inside you but you can also remember the love she left behind.
