Tune: Repton
('Dear Lord and Father of mankind')
Psalm 39 v.4-7
*********
LORD, make me now to know my end
From troubles me defend
Make me know measure of my days
In life's brief span to know your ways
To me your mercy send
To me your mercy send
You have made my days a hand-breadth
You them have ordained, set
Mankind at best state vain they be
Outcome may be futility
Though we may know you yet
Though we may know you yet
As a vain show, as a shadow
Pride, riches, they are so
But help us to wait, hope in you
You guide us to do good works true
Prosperity does flow
Prosperity does flow
Our little life compared to you
Your creation you view
And we may live life in your sight
Come to us and dispel the night
With graces not a few
With graces not a few

Our little life to the Lord is not so little to him. He sees us all in a light as big as him. Just don't start singing Orchi and mess it all up. ; )
