Friends of the Pen

Accidental Poet

I speak to you

On behalf of my Muse

My friends of the pen

World love to induce

Deep within you

You all know it’s true

The world in dire need of love

Though beautiful green and blue

So many species on our planet

Just living to survive

To live and flourish

Thankful to be alive

But to take away

Even just one life

To threaten with fear

The crime of causing such strife

Be it man or animal

Bird or fish

May we all respect life

Resist urges so selfish

As heart minded poets

With compassion we’re compelled

Reaching deep into our hearts

To show love unparalleled

For our planet Earth

Of the utmost need

In the planets garden of life

Let us plant love’s thriving seed

A touching read A.P. - those seeds of love need to be sown by perceptive poets world wide - words speak loud as your wise verse shows,
