Once again I am lost,
Lost in the words of a book,
Taken to another world
Where life is so different.
The words take me there
And I become part of that world,
Losing the time in my own space
Until I look up and my time has passed,
Passed so quickly from my world
Into the world of that author.

A fine write Gold.
It's surprising how we can get through even long books fairly quickly, even if slow readers.
You read the history of 1066, with us two in it, and the important parts we took?
I'm in the Chapter - 'The Fatal Bungle' subtitled 'He who mucked it all up'.
It could be a short Chapter, with only four words: 'Then Orchi turned up'. lol.
So true Orchi, “then Orchi turned up”
Then Orchi began to sing.
He sure did!
Then the ear plugs went in. ; )
I too like to lose myself in a good novel. LeeChild books I find hard to put down.
Exciting music, new to my ears also.
Yes I went to a new barber yesterday and he mentioned this group to me, so I can even find new music at the flaming barbers now.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful and important thought Andy.
I love getting lost in a good story, or a piece of music, so much so the fact of having to go back to reality; seems like a horrible consolation prize on a game show, but wonderful words, and marvellous music, are truly two fuels like make life a little sweeter to live.
Bravo, and I hope that all is well!
My pleasure Ben. So true, words and music can be so enthralling.
