Culmination

John Prophet

Culmination.
Many
thousands
of years
in the
making.
Decisions
being made.
One after
another.
Millennia
in
development.
One wrong
turn.
Anywhere.
Anywhere
along the
way.
One wrong
turn.
Turning left
instead of
right.
Anyone.
Different.
Things
would de
different.
Not writing
these words.
Not here
at all.
What
are the
odds.
Existence
ancestor
determinant?
Lineage
preordained?
Millions of
connections
needed.
Needed
to result
in this.
What are
odds?
Perhaps
more than
meets the
eye!

I often wonder what would have happened if I took a different turning in my life to the ones I took but feel that I have ended in the right place for me.

Hi Andy, thank you for reading.
What we do once we’re here is one issue.
How we got here is another. It’s thought Homo Sapiens have been on earth for ~ 200,000 years. That’s 10,000 generations. For you to be here each generation of your ancestors had to couple with who they did on the day they did to result in you. That had to happen 10,000 times. Each coupling generates ~500,000 sperm each sperm represents a different person. The correct sperm out of ~500,000 had to hit the target 10,000 times to result in you. This does not take into account countless generations of hominid that came before Homo Sapiens, Homo Erectus for example. The size of paper needed to calculate this would be larger than the known universe.
What are the odds indeed. Unless of course there are infinite parallel realities then you being in one is inevitable.Good case for infinite parallel realities me thinks.

The idea of infinite parallel universes totally intrigues me, I like to think that they do exist. Imagine infinite different me's and you's John.

I know, it kind of pops the mind doesn’t it….
