Black Satin

Thomas Koron

Upon the sheets my sultry mistress lies,
As she welcomes me her room to enter,
With soft candles reflecting in her eyes.
She rolls her body over the center;
Her skin is soft—her hair gently flowing—
As I lean down and give her lips a kiss.
We embrace throughout the night, and knowing
Come the daylight the warmth we both shall miss.
And then, she whispers in my ear so sweet,
“Please come to me again, my music man.”
Time grants another chance for us to meet
At nightfall here, or at least, shall we plan?
Life moves in directions mysterious,
And leaves us bewildered and curious.
