You're Who?

Sailor Chuck

We were parked at the drive-in picture show,

She looked at me and said, "You need to know,

I'm Jen, twin sister of your girlfriend Gwyn."

"You're who? Would you run that by me again?"

"I told you before things got out of hand,

And I'm not here to steal my sister's man."

"I'll sit here quietly and let you talk,

Then decide how you get home. Ride or walk."

"My sister put me up to doing this,

I wanted no part of it, I insist.

She went out with a jock from Central 'C,'

Someone had to take her place, guess who? Me."

"This was a real mean trick to play on you,

Especially on such a nice guy too.

If you were mine, I'd not treat you like this,

I should have told you after the first kiss."

"You did the right thing exposing this louse,

And you just earned a ride back to your house."

She said, "You seem to be taking this well,

I'm quite surprised you didn't scream and yell."

I said, "Some things aren't as they seem to be,

One trick can deserve another, you see.

This may come as a shock, my name is Ted,

Twin brother of your sister's boyfriend Fred."

We grabbed each other and laughed 'til we cried,

I asked, "Would you like to go for a ride?

I'd like to get to know more about you."

She said, "I'd like to get to know you too."

We found many things in common to share,

It wasn't long before we were a pair.

Fred and Gwyn didn't stay together long,

But Jen and I might hear the church bell gong.
