Eyes That Smile

Langton

A smile from her eyes slowly creeps

over her cheeks to her lips

her eyes in company with mine keep

to warm me to my finger tips

The lips that smile caress my cheek

the eyes that smile gently close

her soft cheek my lips seek

my heart aches, I wonder if she knows?

Precious moments with her I spent

making every minute last a day

the tide of time to suspend

thinking thoughts I dare not say

In lonely moments I smile

remembering times that passed

her face, her smile, a place we stood a while

and when I saw her last
