And as the mists come rolling in
Like a hungry amoebic thing
I stand defiantly in this silent war
You can take my body but not my soul
And then the storm clouds charge to the field
Threatening violence unless I yield
But i raise myself to the darkening sky
You can burn my body but i shall not die
The waters rise up from the deepest sea
To wash away the best of me
But the current of life within this body
Creates a tidal wave of deeper courage
Do what you will, I do not care
I am stronger than what you are
Tell me to break and i will not bend
Tell me to kneel and I'll walk away
All that you are is a weak illusion
A fading dream full of delusion
Yesterdays thought that had purpose and feeling
But in this world today you have no meaning
So battle on heavenly soldier
Sound the trumpets to call your power
It will all fall on deafened ears
Silenced from waiting through the years
But now you listen to what i say
Before you turn and run away
You had your chance to prove yourself
But all you've done is repeatedly fail
So heed these words and tremble in fear
And always remember what happened here
You are nothing but what I give you
For the nature of man is irrefutable

Thanks GF. Much appreciated
And so it will continue. Mankind in all his foibles will continue, polarized or not.
Tis true. Man is a giddy thing
Come back Boffington Town - you are out of lockdown - all is forgiven.
It's not always sweetness and light Dave
