They did have it so right in their lives,
No thoughts of war,
No thoughts of hate.
Just a world where love and peace
Would be there for the world,
Where all understood everybody.
Why can it not be so?

Yes I think so and in that idea of balance, I do believe we was ment to be The light on this rock as nature provides plenty of dark this, that would happily eat us up!

Oh that it were oh so simple. It's simple for some, impossible for others.
If only ………..
Andy
Indeed why? In the next three days (three writes) I hope to read the answers, Andy.
I wish I knew Dave, we need to start by getting rid of the politicians!!!
Andy
Day one, an answer, Andy - you have days two and three to formulate an alternative....................................
Move to the edge of the Universe...............................................
...................................................................................Oh well , that's solved then - thank you Andy.
Love and peace, the world's cure for every problem on Earth. Great write Andy. ; )

“Why can it not be so?”
Because people rule the world.

yeah, Andy (if only they'd have kept singing to that song sheet)
but then they all grew-up
realised they needed to infiltrate 'the system'
to bring about sustained change
and so, now we have weaponised university Grad's
with 'warped' liberal mindset's
with no room for a common ground, because
their professor's baptised them
in that activism zealotry of blinkered ideology
where inclusivity means
doing everything 'their way, in only one way'
and free loving's freedom
is hijacked by those who endlessly seek: that mirage
of a socialist utopia...
(I'm sorry my opinionated rambling
took me somewhere political, and far
from the spirit of your write, dear poet
I just think the assassination
of both Lennon and Robert Kennedy
really poisoned that generation's opportunity
for genuine change, and so
decades later, we've seen their once - humane ideal's
dissolve into such a divisive weapon
against the goodness that still exists in society,
when you think a whole generation of graduates
has been brain washed into believing
that free speech is toxic and needs to be regulated???
that's how far those same 'hippies' have devolved
such a shame, truly...)
Unfortunately very true words Mek, maybe one day people will realise the problems in our world and find a way into love for all.
Andy
Amen!
Hippie UTOPIA!,,,,,,
Hurrah Suresh, hurrah.

Good write, Andy.
The cost to feed, clothe, house, and educate every child on the planet annually is equal to what the nations of the world spend on armaments quarterly. If we don't do something collectively to stop it we will create an Extent Level Event in this century.

Very true Jerry, it is possible to do what you have said but unfortunately they won’t do it until somebody shows them the right way.
Andy
