Burke Agonistes.

Trenz Pruca

I woke from a bad dream one morning
Like a child believing sunlight
Drove away the shadows
Of my nocturnal fears.

Sending them to scurry
And hide in dark places.

Only to discover those creatures
I could not escape at night
Awaited me in the blossoming day.

Thank you. Yes, it happens. Too often to be sure.

It may well happen but in the day you can get away from them where you may not be able to in your dreams.
