Unrequited love

Mimie

Your eyes drill my soul with such desire that burns my skin my blood begins to boil

It boils with so much anger

The anger that was instilled in me by your own comforting words

The words that made a promise to keep me safe

Safe from myself because you knew I would self destruct

A ticking time bomb, with every second draining the last breath of my tired heart

How come you find it so easy to steal from the hand that has molded you to be the Hero you are now

A hero that everyone looks up to

But a villain at home

The warmth I felt before your eyes were shadowed with greed for such a better life

You forgot the only thing that mattered when you were on top

You buried your heart in an unknown location

So as to attack your enemies without any weakness

How I so wish  to be the enemy

Maybe only then will you look at me

As more than just a personification of your ploys

But more of a threat to your life because you have broken down my walls

Stole everything, leaving me vulnerable

Yet Again

  • Comment from author about the poem: The moment you realize how your lover is making you understand his intentions. Never pure but genuine enough because he warned you but you decided not to listen. He's an honest lover, you just fell in love with the hope of something that never existed.

Right now I feel like I'm the one who buried his heart in an unknown location. Self reflection😔
