Anguish.
Brushes which fuse earth and sun
in bold oily strokes.
Lines that move across landscape
like flames of smoke.
Palette fervent with passion snaps
colour's moment.
Framed an artistic heart's anguish
stays ever molten.
Signed by Van Gough paint's heat
never goes cold.

To me van gogh's work is all about an expression of passion. Captured in your words today.
What an honour you give my poetic efforts dear Dusk - - to be mentioned in the same sentence as the famous Van Gogh makes me so dizzily grateful - -- thanking you very sincerely.
'Brushes which fuse earth and sun'..
what a captivating and vivid 1st line, dear Fay
a great dedication/tribute
for me, the most striking element of this painting
is how, it deliberately creates a blurry effect
the longer you look at it
and in-doing that, it reflects that furnace presence
of the sun in our lives
highlighting its heatstroke trait, to distort
our notion of reality...
what a visionary artist
I truly feel, the philosophical elements of some paintings
are ignored, too easily
Your in-put to my version of tribute to a great master gives much food for thought L. B. and I agree totally that we need to look closer at the whys of elemental combination when facing paintings. Grateful thanks for your visit yet again to my page.
....... there is without any doubt at all, more than just the one masterpiece pinned to this page .................................... 🙂 x
Oh how you spoil me you do............... but a big thank you cos I like it I do.............x
One paints, the other writes
