nobody

Claudia

I am a nobody.

Why am I here?

Nobody needs me

like a shadow just passing by.

Even the shadows need light.

Then I am nobody.

Not even a dream.

I am a lost soul,

not for this earth.

I am still hurting,

You could understand.

I need someone to numb my pain

but I am alone

with no one to care.

I am a nobody

I could just go.

No one would care,

no one would know.

I am a nobody

so why am I here?

Is this for real?

If so, I have enough.

enough of this sadness

the sadness I am drunk on.

I need to escape, please take me home.

I just need someone, but there is none.

So I use these words, to not feel alone.

'So I use these words, to not feel alone.'
I too, think poetry can be a powerful tool
for countering those doubts in our minds,
when we read other's express what we feel
    then, we know
distance being allowed for: 'We', are not alone!
(thanks for sharing, your wonderful take
on the day to day utilisation possibilities
    of our beloved: Poetry)
