Goldfinch60

The Kiss In The Wind

The wind blew the curtain

Through the open window,

A box was knocked on the floor.

I picked it up,

I saw it, a label,

A label in my loved ones hand.

The words on it spoke to me,

Spoke so deeply to me,

“With all my love forever,

Joyce”.

Written ten years ago

On our thirtieth anniversary,

It would be our fortieth this year,

But I will celebrate it alone.

I have always known

She is still with me,

In my body and mind,

In the moon and the stars.

But now I know

She is also in the wind,

So every time the wind blows

I will know she is kissing me,

Kissing me once again,

And that one day we will be as one

When our Spirits join for eternity.

And so too in another ten years will be 50, Andy not only do you fit finely into the category of faithful you also share a great wisdom, to appreciate love the way you do is a gift in its self. Sending you a hug today from Italy.

Not only a kiss from your Joyce, but also an endearing hug of her undying love for you. You're not alone when you celebrate your anniversary Andy. She is there. Look around you, she is there. ; )

Thank you for sharing that poignant moment. Those of us who have reached that certain age understand the painful hole in our life such a loss causes. Thank you for sharing.

Most kind Trenz, she is always with me in my heart.
