Tune: Old Hundredth
('All people that on earth do dwell')
Psalm 72 parts
********
O God, give Kings, Queens your judgements
Wisdom, righteousness, may they sense
You as the LORD God in each thing
And unto you their worship bring
May they judge your people rightly
And poor, needy with equity
Those that govern guide by you by light
To do that pleasing in your sight
Their name shall continue ever
And last while the sun does confer
Light of day upon mankind, too
Endure while many moons show true
And people shall in them be blessed
And nations shall sure find their rest
The Lord God shall not disappoint
But will all for the good appoint

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.8.8.8. metre. The Psalm was originally written FOR or BY King Solomon. True words I trust, though how much is to believed that the UK is being run by Bozo, Coco, Thicko, Dumbo, etc, as some papers say?! We may laugh at the clowns aspect, but scary too, if true.

a finely tuned hymnal poem accompanied by much truth embedded within the authors note .. 🙂
Thanks Neville. Or is it as some say: 'We've no chance with Bozo & Co. running the country?!' Quite an old hymn, but not as old as 1066.
Down with the monarchy! Rebel! Up the people! Yay us!
Thanks Crow. lol.
I wish your god could give the pope some lessons in apologising for the evil deeds he is refusing to apologise for concerning deaths of indiginous peoples children in Canada.
Thanks dusk. Now I'm reading a bit about Roman Catholics who aimed to overthrow Protestants in the 16th Century.
Good one Orchi
Thanks Gold.
