Walking the dog

Jerry Reynolds

The sweet smell of a woman
right here in the grass.
Ahh, another and another-
Stop pulling my chain
you silly bitch.
She left promises of love
right here in the grass.
This way toward the meadow-
Again with the chain
you are insane.

A dog's nose is 20 times more sensitive than a human's nose. They can't help but smell everything around them. Great write Jerry.

Nothing like a dog to smell out your past and resurrect those memories Jerry - - - grass everywhere holds many a secret and oh what tales it could tell.

      • Jerry Reynolds

        Thanks, Fay.
It surely does. Mayde dogs send notes that way, like kids in class, or poets across space and time.

This describes my pup’s gremlin crawl/leash pulling so perfectly! Good stuff!!

        • Jerry Reynolds

          Thanks, D.P.
"Gremlin crawl" love it. A lot of good material in looking at the dog walk from the dog's point of view.
