Climate Change

Thekkinkkattil

Season is on, seeds are sown

See no rains for crop to grow

Rains are scarce, drought is more

Summers hot, winters freezing cold

‘Climate change’ the word for these woes

Cut the trees, clear the woods

Clog the drains, dirty the oceans

Burn the thrash and spoil the air

It’s payback time and nothing more

Garner courage to hoot into ‘Ozone hole’

Scan the pacific for ‘Garbage float’

Mend your ways or see your children grow

In plastic land where nothing grows

So very, very true Gitanjali, when will those in power believe and do something about it.

Thumbs up for the verse if not the situation we find ourselves in.
No other option but to continually raise the issue in whatever forum is open to us.

Hello and welcome to this friendly collection of serious writers dear Git. and loud applause for your outcry on thoughtless destruction of natural balance - -- clean up the garbage and "mend your ways" is the warning the human race needs. Thank you for sharing your views in well crafted poetic style.

    'Rains are scarce,'
try telling Germany and Gouangzou - that... lol
    we've definitely had a tumultuous Summer 2021
    all around the globe
that's without, taking covid into consideration!
(an important message and timely write
    thanks for sharing)
