Build me up buttetcup
Down blackberry way
To Waterloo sunset
Sitting on the dock of the bay
Passed Matthew and Sons
Along tobacco Road
I'm just a day tripper
On the streets of london
I'm off to see Gloria
And Corina too
Then drop in on Elenore
Cos I think she's swell
I get good vibrations
I feel soul man
And all tomorrow's parties
Are in yesterday's plans
I like it you see
It's a love potion No. 9
Imagine a decade of music
And time on my side
And i think to myself
What a wonderful world
Because I'm a believer
That music turn, turn, turns
The answer my friend is blowin in the wind
But until then this is The End!

If you remember the sixties you weren't there SC.
Mind you I remember the sixties and I was there, such wonderful times, a complete change in the way of the world - perhaps we need the sixties back now.
Andy
Certainly need better music than the rubbish they dish out these days
Great fun piece. Many things popped out from my memories. I had a 50th birthday party eons ago with a 60's theme despite the warnings. The police came three times due to the noise. The last time we offered to pay the fine. But they refused. Just said: Keep it down a bit, OK. Very understanding coppers that bunch.
Sax - you've done it again - thrown something at us which s totally original (to my mind anyway).
Would it be discourteous to ask -memory or research?
Mostly memory barr two songs
In the spring of youth - no decline.... 😊
Good write SC.
Thanks orchi
Was there with all those titles Sax - - great piece of fab. memory-time in this write which many will relate to methinks.
Thanks Fay. Yeah I missed out this era sadly. But I wonder if I would have appreciated as much at the time?
Awesome!
Thanks LB
I'm enjoying 'summer in the city'
Hot times Dusk
Yes the 60s was all of that, and then some. I turned 10 in December of '66 and it was my favorite era for music still to this day, "Time Won't Let Me", "Black is Black", "Summertime", "I Saw Her Standing There". Oh, I'm in Heaven again. Thanks Sax, for the time machine trip. 😎
My groovy pleasure man!
As is ours. 👍
Great write, S.C.
"And the good old boys were drinking whiskey in Rye."
