Possessing Possessions

orchidee

Tune: Fulda

('We have a gospel to proclaim')

Obadiah 1 v.17-21 parts {Old Testament prophet}

**********

Then upon mount Zion shall be

Deliverance, salvation free

And there shall too be holiness

Israel shall possessions possess

Israel, they shall be as a fire

And as a flame, for judgement dire

On Esau's land, it Edom be

Shall be devoured fully, see

Israel shall thus possess land, see

Of Edom too, their enemy

For they not helped them in times past

But rather bitterness did last

Those returned from captivity

They shall gain sure the victory

Edom shall be judged for the LORD's

The kingdom shall be, true His words

Hmm if this is full of christian spirit then why are christian churches so wealthy?

      • orchidee

Thanks dusk. Well, I left one church partly because of that. They never stopped (and are not stopping now) asking for money. It don't help if people change to a strange guru-like hairstyle either, when they request money. A completely irrelevant bit of info there?!

As poems go, another nice piece.

Isn’t the whole objective to not chase material objects
