The meadow

BusyB

As we sat on the bench
To survey what lay before us
You linked your arm with mine
You lay your head upon my shoulder
And sighed

As we sat there
Enjoying the calm of the day
No words were uttered
As our hearts fluttered

Slowly the world passed us by
The change in light went unnoticed
We sat there quite unaware
Of a herd of cows
That surrounded us!
