Up he came for the weekend,
Over a year since I saw him,
The wonderful son of mine.
We hugged,
We talked,
We laughed,
We cried,
Every emotion was there.
But we also listened,
Listened to each other,
And listened to our love,
Our love of music.
Music has been my life
And now it is his as well.
Such a wonderful weekend,
The two of us together
Only for a short while,
But that time was so special
As it showed that the love,
The love between father and son
Was so very strong,
And we would always be there,
Be there for each other forever.

Good write Gold.
Why did I gate-crash and turn up too? Well, I only wanted to sing you both a song or three - to cheer you up?!
Thanks Orchi.
We left as soon as you arrived so didn't hear you.

Wonderful write Andy. And hopefully the next time you see each other won't be nearly as long. No force stronger than love. π
Thank you John, yes it will not be so long next time.
