Tune: Franconia
('Blest are the pure in heart')
Psalm 65 v.1-5
*********
O God, in Sion praise
Waits for you, anthems raise
To you shall the vows performed be
Each deed diligently
O you, LORD, that hear prayer
Our needs with you we share
Unto you shall come peoples all
Turn to you, on you call
Sins prevail against me
Look not on them, not see
But forgive, and them purge away
Bring us salvation's day
Blessed they who you choose to
Approach to you anew
That they may dwell where you reside
They may in you confide
We shall satisfied be
With your goodness plenty
In righteousness you shall answer
Us, and firmly assure
You are the confidence
Of all the earth now, hence
Of all they on earth, on the sea
Saviour of all you be

reminds me a bit of section three of the Mental Health Act .. a confident committal if ever there was ........ 🙂
Thanks N. Doh! Did you think this was about someone being 'committed' cos they heard me sing?! lol.
Nicely done Orchi
Isn’t it so that we must first refrain from sinning
Thanks Suresh. Yes, yet I suppose even continuing sinners could make commitments, even if false or half-hearted. I mean, those the old prophets would refer to as 'wicked sinners'.
Good one Orchi.
Thanks Gold.
