funny how a certain piece of music
takes you right back in time
takes me way on back
to those tiny country lanes of
gloucestershire sunshine
emptying cider glasses
in Rosie country below steep
hills to try a young mans legs
and bold kisses to warm his heart
music of the minds reminiscence
flavours smells and soft willing lips
amid a late summer's evenings
lushness of cricket call
and silly laughing homeward
arm in arm pantomine stroll
where young love lays down
in the heat of a summer's night

A fine write, Dusk.
Music is a conduit through time for sure.
Music and aromas can fine tune your memories cant they, you're right.
Music has magic to take us to times when youth was exciting Dusk - - I too love Gloucestershire and lived there in a village called Winchcombe for several years --- the place has many mem'ries for me - on Cleve Hill for instance and saying no more................
Yes I know Winchcombe and Cleeve Hill though I dare say not as familiar with that area as i am with others but it is definitely a beautiful and varied county. A lovely county for lovers in summertime.
