Upon a Time Once

Neville

Upon a Time Once

Upon a time once

my word how we loved

Aye, didn’t we just ..

And with never a thought for

those moments we lost

Nor for gratuitous lust ..

Upon a time once

my word how we loved

Aye, didn’t we just ..

Though with never

a thought for the

consequences of such

Whether borrowed, or lent

to us, in that moment

it was all time well spent ..

Upon a time once

my word how we loved

Aye, didn’t we just ..

        'Regardless
        of whether, borrowed or lent
        To us in that moment
        it was time, well spent'
        'Upon a time
        once, we had everything
        didn’t we: just ..'
(my melancholy, has a new muse
        its in the white
of your poetry's capacity, to soothe)
        I'm a bona fide, fan
        for just, such a reason
        my oh, so talented friend!

        • Neville

Simple but full of reverie. You've caught the true magic of writing few words but saying so much more here Neville.

            A fine write Neville.
Is this any relation a poem 'Pon a time'?!
Note to self: this is very 'sad' of me, I know. Ain't I got better things to do, than looking for missing 'u's?

            • Neville

No Mr. O no relation .. the only relationship between the two is at that juncture where your synapse is bridged with a sprinkling of positively charged pixie dust that makes you assume there might be .. ta tho' for enquiring 🙂

Love is a multifaceted experience. It can be very complex; but not so much at a young age. No worries to be had until…

As I read your words, my musings have been interrupted with a sudden thought…so much is being said with just a few words; hence the tsunami.

              Thank you for sharing.

              Laura🌻
