Words Left Unsaid

Saxon Crow

Words left unsaid

Like a love undeclared

Are written on the heart

And in the lonely nights are read

When there is only you

And unfaithful memory

These lines of the mind

Take on different meaning

And what was unspoken

Can deafen loves young dream

Shouting hurt where none existed

When all you needed was the courage to speak

To speak of truth and let the burden of your heart free

A woeful tale of regret when ones head overruled ones heart.

A beautiful piece of poetry, of love never spoken and the aftermath of that hollowness. Life's many forked pathways are strewn with the poorly selected and often neglected choices. Here you have shown that words "unspoken" can be as powerful as those we shout. The "unsaid" can scar as deeply as the freely spoken. We spend years wondering why and what if, and at some point we render a graceful and articulate poem. Well done. - Phil A.

May those words in your heart break free and show the love that you have for others.
