Cross Purposes

Lorna

And so here I sit

You are gone

Away to somewhere wonderful

I like to think

The selfishness of wishing you back

To the pain you were in

Overwhelms me

I cannot do that

Perhaps you are afraid

To wish me there

Thinking I would miss life

And so.......... cross purposes

Speaking strictly for myself

Following you was

All I ever really wanted to do

Lorna - Such sad and heartfelt words. Let's hope that we may all meet up again with our lost ones. I once wrote some lines following the death of a close friend - "Think well of me now I am gone. The world now dark where once the sun had shone" Go well John

We all have to deal with the loss of our friends . More so when we get older. It's hard . But you have to keep that friend or loved one in your heart . And in your mind. Think of them often . Think of the good times. Speak of them often. Keep pictures around . It's those things that keep them alive. You know their pain is gone. And that is a good thing. Keep your memories. so sorry for youe loss.
