Forsaken.

Vinit Rodrigues

I swear I tried...
Not to confront the blank page,
Not to break the silence,
Not to add into the heap of butts another cigarette.
Verily,  I tried...with all my might,
Not to write...never to rhyme ever again.
But here I am, just like yesterday,
 little more dead...little more grey.
Perhaps I know not any other route...
another means of redeeming myself.
Not an ounce of pleasure,
 I've derived from this way...
Not a step closer to my dreamed isle...
Not a moment of solace,
for my tormenting soul...
yet... I return to the same act,
on the same pathway...
Oh lord, have you forsaken me from thy grace?

May your words keep spilling onto the page Vinit.

    Welcome to MPS.

You shall never stop writing, what a better way out there to redeem ourselves other than spilling our thoughts and secrets into the pen and paper. Incredible piece, dear Vinit!
