There are many survivors of terrible episodes in their lives. All too readily we can think of the terrible loss of life in WW2 and extermination camps.
How does lockdown/shielding compare, are we heroic survivors. No. Though a dramatic episode in history it does not compare to history's disasters for us survivors.
But it ain't quite over yet.
Sorry to go off subject Neville but the above are thoughts which came to mind reading your words my friend.
I am right there beside you DA and could not agree more ... I have always said poetry aint always pretty and misery, is entirely optional .......................... and anyway, off piste is fine by me any day 🙂
Covert is one of my favourite terms to describe Covid - how did you know that I wonder ! --- your penned question Nev. has more than one answer but one in the eye for cunning Covid is to be known as a determined survivor - - methinks - - maybe .............x

Definitely it’s a battle field and it does maneuver covertly! My only weapon is immunization, mask up, and cleansing! Best to u and yours
