of sand

rebmasters

You can be formed,
then worn
by fingers of light breeze
blowing across the sea.

You can be shaped;
moulded like clay,
but minute particles
will start trickling away.

You can be moved;
the heavy motion of
the rolling sea
carrying you lightly.

You can coagulate
like blood;
tough, sticky stuff
sucking in feet.

You can be bountiful
where saltwater will meet
enduring land;
belonging to neither.

You write the past;
each grain unique,
like fingerprints
pressed into earth.

You can leave as
abruptly as
you came;
nothing remains.

You can wear me away;
skin & bone eroding
into your silken grains.
Swallow me up;

make me the sea

    So many things can be done by and with sand remasters.
