Waste Not.

Fay Slimm.

Waste Not.

The scent of words gilds barren agendas

with unique notions of taste.

Pens open cages of unfaced mind-sets

to reveal scintillation.

The hues of poetry colour life's rawness

with fantasy's rainbow creations

Verse shuts in warm against boredom

as its spells inscribe lettered lace.

Let's waste not then a jot of perception

for hidden inside novel reflection

are perfumed bouquets of word-nectar

for inhalation and readers' pleasure.

Hmm I'm lacking all those things at the moment but I know how well you have described the wonderful creative times when words fall from your fingertips or you try to tease a novel way to adjoin words into something more meaningful.
All the more meaningful when respected poetic colleagues show appreciation in comments here on mps.

    • Fay Slimm.

Words of melodious meanings come and sometimes then go A.W.O.L. as the saying is - but we poets are scribing-survivors you will agree dear Dusk and of late your offerings are to my mind second to none.

I fear I have a very mundane view of writing here compared with yours, Fay. I sometimes see it as the virtual card game of patience - this word fits or it doesn't.....yours fit , mine oftimes don't.....

      • Fay Slimm.

Only our surrender to intuition can I believe render us writers and for the most part I find just that in the vibes of your postings Dave -- also for your regular and welcome visits to my page along with a comment a very big thank you my friend,.

Thanks Fay - I think I'll frame that.....

May those wonderful words be forever with us Fay.

You never disappoint Fay and this is no exception. I wish I could borrow your muse as mine seems to be on a perpetual vacation. Excellent write🙂

            • Fay Slimm.

Your writings by no means tell of an empty muse-place my friend - but in case yours is having a break am sending my favourite muse right over to your mind dear Coyote. Close your eyes and surrender then just wait to be simply amazed.

              A fine write, Fay.
I had nothing for today but you have inspired me to stir fry something quick.

              • Fay Slimm.

Morning Jerry - -- well at least that's what it is here now - and having just read your comment before breakfast am rushing to taste your astir-fried quick dish, Thanks as ever for your visit and read.

Life’s rawness! You definitely scribe words in unique thoughts! Inspiration comes
from many places, and here you have inspired me to think more, pair words uniquely

                • Fay Slimm.

How good to know your visit and read of Waste Not has been of some help to your poetic writing dear Dove. It will be then my real pleasure to have had a small part in your future work with words my friend.
