the air was warm

rebmasters

The sun wasn’t shining,
but the air was warm, warm
& softly caressing,
like your fingers on my pale cheek
whenever you think I’m asleep.

The stars were like feathers;
soft to the touch
& oh so white;
within our grasp
above flat green treetops.

Velvet sky & your skin
so irradiating.
Leaves whispering,
entwined within my hair;
your fingers also there.

Eternal earth below;
everything a sweet, sublime show,
from the sparks in your eyes
to my thoughts you will never know

      steamy sensuality, expressed tastefully
      nicely done, dear poet
      really liked these lines
      'The stars were like feathers;
      soft to the touch
      & oh so white;
      within our grasp'

        There's a lot of love and contentment within those lines today.

        • rebmasters

          Ah if only I was contented! But there is no end to desire - that's the pleasure/pain of being human and in love I suppose 🙂🖤

              Thank you! I do seem to have gone a bit romantic with it, but that seems to have gone down well! xx
