Tune/Song: Men of Harlech

Psalm 68 v.1-8

Note: The Chorus is after every two verses, not after every verse.

************

Sing to God, sing to Him praises

Every heart and voice upraises

Extol Him that rides upon high

Upon heavens sky

Praise His name, it be JEHOVAH

He has triumphed His foes over

Rejoice before Him and worship

True in deed and lip* - Chorus

(*word)

Chorus

Let God arise, let be

Enemies scattered, see

Let them also that Him hate

Flee away before Him great

As the smoke is driven away

And a wax melts without delay

Before he fire, so the wicked

At God's presence fled

But let the righteous be glad, let

Them rejoice before God e'en yet

Yes, let them exceeding rejoice

Praise Him with one voice

He does defend the fatherless

And as a father He does bless

Brings justice to widows, needy

Puts down proud, greedy - Chorus

He does help the lonely, brings friends

And by His power them defends

When he went before His people

He marched with them all

Through the exodus from Egypt

He was with His people, them kept

The earth shook, the heavens dropped rain

Over desert plain - Chorus
