Paragon Park

Accidental Poet

Once upon a time

In Massachusetts at Nantasket Beach

There was a place so grand

Paragon Park was the place to be

Oh what fun it was

On the Carousel Merry-Go-Round

Be it day or night at Paragon Park

Treasured memories could be found

So easy it was

To get lost in the Penny Arcade

Then come out with prizes galore

And enjoy pizza and lemonade

The Bumper Cars were a smash

And The Kooky Kastle a scream

Don’t pass by that cotton candy

Or your favorite ice cream

In a carved out log canoe

Float through the Congo Cruise

Finish with a big splash

On to the next ride you knew

You’d stand in line for an hour

Just to ride the Roller Coaster

Then come back and get in line again

To be the Best Ride Boaster

And in my younger days

I even worked there for one day

But working there was not for me

At Paragon Park I’d much rather play

    Good write AP.

Thanks Orchi. Alas, the park is no more, closed in 1985. Now condominiums are there but not nearly the magnificent place it once was. 😒

There's nothing like fond memories to look back on especially on a rainy day. A pleasure to read AP.

The park was closed on rainy days Coyote, but on clear days and nights it was an awesome place to be. Makes me wish I had a time machine. 😁 Thanks for the read and comment.

Paragon Park was brought alive by your exciting write dear A.P. - it must have been any youngster's dream come true - what a wonderful memory to look back on for you and for many others I guess.
