The Stars

SheWasTheSun

They say I look at you

With stars in my eyes

And that's not quite the truth

Though not quite a lie

When my gaze meets yours

There's a brightness that exists

Never seen before

This much is no myth

But it is not these eyes

Holding the milky way in place

Forcing oceans to rise

Lighting the night, living the days

These eyes are simply mirrors

Reflecting what stands before them

And you, my dear

Are a dark sky worth exploring

My eyes are not the stars

But they've got them in their sights

Sweet thing, you are the stars

And you have always been my light

Well there was a time when i knew that feeling and its radiant reflection. Your words brought it back to me easily.

You're a lucky person to have this feeling in your life.
