Tune: Unser Herrscher* (*Our Ruler, Lord, etc)
('Come ye faithful, raise the anthem')
Psalm 96
*********
O sing to the LORD a new song
Make His praises all day long
Sing unto the LORD, all the earth
All whom He has granted birth
Sing unto the LORD, bless His name
Name of honour, worthy fame
Show forth His salvation daily
Spread it universally
Declare His glory midst nations
Unto all earth's daughters, sons
Show His wonders midst all people
They shine bright and glorious all
For the LORD is great, and greatly
To be praised, reverently
He to be feared above gods all
Let us praise Him, hear His call
For gods of nations are idols
Without any life or souls
But the LORD the heavens He made
'Tis His creation displayed
Before Him honour, majesty
Arrayed in resplendency
Strength, beauty in His sanctuary
Worship him now thankful, free
Give unto the LORD, you people
Glory and strength, you not fall
Give unto the LORD the glory
Due unto His name, so be
Bring an offering to Him give
In His presence you shall live
Worship the LORD in the beauty
Of holiness joyfully
Fear before Him all the earth, stand
In awe of Him every land
Say among the nations, that He
The LORD reigns for e'er, so be
The world also established be
That it shall not move or flee
The LORD shall judge the people right
Heavens rejoice in His sight
And let the earth be glad, sea roar
All in it, to farthest shore
Let fields be joyful, all therein
And too woods their song begin
Before the LORD, for He comes to
Judge the earth with justice true
With righteousness, and the people
With His truth, e'en one and all
