the owl and the puddy tat part 2

dusk arising

the owl and the puddy tat
awoke at dawn
neath a beautiful pea green bush
they brekkied on berries
and resource of red cherries
which owl had kept under his wing

today they set off
for the seaside
sandcastles filled up puddy's dreams,
breaking waves on the beach
brushing sand off a peach
and the wonder of owl's feathered charms

.       the morning they spent going fishing
.       but oh all that splashing and splishing
.       left owl damp and splatted
.       puddy towelled parts that mattered
.       and found her wondering ...and wishing

how an owl and a puddy tat
could venture afar
on a motorbike just made for two
owl doing the driving
theyd soon be arriving
to see oh such wonderful views

.       the owl in a helmet of red
.       and a pink one to crown puddy's head
.       they motored all day
.       to a land far away
.       and arriving were ready for bed

oh puddy said owl
as the sunset arose
you're as pretty as pretty can be
i'm such a proud owl
since you gave up the prowl
and decided to share time with me

Oh my owl, my owl
with feathers and beak
how i love when you fluffle and hoot
i promise one day
when the mice are at play
i'll knit you a fur-ball zoot suit

over the hills
and all along the long lanes
they motorbiked days away
puddy's arms around owl
where they now loved to prowl
and owl would have it....
.                       ..... no other way
