Treasured.
I remember that day,
a grainy twilight draining sky's colour,
strange iridescent gleam
on the water and wind lifting my hair.
I remember the burst
of birds from September trees, lustred
limestone luminescence
and the damp of rocks cooling my feet.
I remember the peace
as I waited for you and our rendezvous,
nervous, yet knowing bliss
preserves lovers in delectable memory
never so treasured as then.

Beautiful words Fay
Glad you found the words and the message exhilarating Sax - thanks ever so for your visit and comment..
You capture how alive we are at such times. When such awareness and feelings take our mind and body them we know we are in love. The most magical times of life when all else is second. No wonder we treasure such times in memory. No wonder they haunt our dreams.
Yes how true that our senses at that time are roused to awareness my friend. Love makes itself indispensable at times when its magic appears. Thank you for this thoughtful and caring comment dear Dusk.
Those memories of times passed are so treasured Fay.
Andy
I agree whole heartedly Andy - - they really are time to remember all through our remaining days..
