Tune: Marching
(one tune to: 'Father, hear the prayer we offer')
Psalm 56 parts
*********
Have mercy upon me, LORD, for
People do oppress me sure
My enemies, they would daily
Trouble me without delay
When many do fight against me
O God, do my helper be
When I am afraid, I shall turn
To you, and my trust re-learn
In God I will here praise His word
He my help, my prayers He heard
I have in Him put my trust. so
Shall not fear what men can do
Though they trouble me, my help be
In the LORD God, 'tis true, see
Through fears and trials He shall sustain
Me, I praise Him here again
