shudders

dusk arising

a leaf-held raindrop fell inside my collar
notes resigned into a melody
with eyes, bedazzled from sunlight's flicker
i felt your three year old hand place in mine a pebble
and angels sang above the strings of my heart
to a shiver of this becoming a yesterday,
tomorrow shudders my spine

Ah - - your pen caught the moment when a pebble that meant treasure to a toddler of three was put neatly into your own hand and you heard the angels' applause - well no wonder your shivered dear friend. - a moment to keep forever though shared with readers here for which I thank you muchly Dusk.
