‘Hell hath no fury like a…’

Laura🌻

She was not as sweet as apple cider!

She was bitter

She was angry

She was fast and furious

She was a destroyer!

How could she be so cruel

So arrogant and contemptuous

To have claimed sixty-eight lives

She was a destroyer!

  • Fay Slimm.

Thinking of you Laura - you describe so well the horror of hurricanes and hope you stay safe.

    • Laura🌻

      My Dear Fay,

Yes, I am safe and well, thank you. It was a horror to witness IDA’s wrath in real time. I survived the 1980 earthquake in the Campania region of Italy and now hurricane IDA in NYC. I’m thankful and appreciative for the good fortune I’ve been blessed with.
Thank you for your comment and thoughtfulness. Have a wonderful weekend.❤️

You may not post that often, but when you do, you invariably leave a lasting impression .. am thinking of you 🌻x

        Neville,

You’re spot on with the first part of your comment. As far as the second part of your comment, hurricane IDA is responsible for ‘leaving a last impression’!
I do appreciate your read and comment…
you’re always there when your poetic friends need you…🤗🌻

Nowhere near it are you, Laura? You are in Italy, according to your profile... and there are climatic catastrophes occurring all over the world at this time...
Not that one should expect a response....

            • Laura🌻

As you know by now, I was right in its path. I’m happy to say I’m safe and well.

I did find out the sad news about two acquaintances of mine…two professors (husband and wife)…from Iona College did not survive the hurricane. May they RIP.

Know that I do appreciate your read and comment. Thank you.

a sad time, but an eye-opening event that will go down in history

                        • Laura🌻

                          Ron,

Hurricane IDA will not be forgotten and most definitely
                          ‘will go down in history’.

Thank you for the read and comment. Very much appreciated.

                              ‘nature’s fury is unstoppable’…
                              and insurmountable…
                              as IDA was!
