for me
the fairground noise
fell silent and
the crowds drew back
the moment I saw you
how long
had it been
long enough
to forget but not forget
to put away
feelings
into numbness
create a pit of
closed hope
now spilling
boiling over
"hello"

Unexpected a meeting after so long can rouse romantic feelings and it flows so appealingly from these short lines - -- closed hope can open again and I wonder what happened after that sudden "hello"
'hello' will take you wherever your mind will go..... waltzer, helter skelter, dodgems or will it just be the ghost train? An evenings romance or a lonely walk home with a goldfish in a polythene bag?
Those feelings of yesteryear are always there and just need a trigger to bring them back.
