The stars are jellyfish
Floating through the currents of the milky way
Looking down on this sapphire planet
Yearning to touchdown on its emerald land
Do they dream just like us?
Do they reach for the impossible with a poets mind?
What picture does something so beautiful paint?
How far can they see from their ocean sized view
With its endless horizon of the old and the New?
So many questions never to be answered
Leaving only frustration and deepest despair
The stars are jellyfish
Drifting on and on
Seen by a lonely madman from a room with a view

Good writing inspired by this picture . I like to use pictures sometimes to write a poem .
Sax - 'Surreal' is not a sufficient or even adequate descriptor for your piece here.
"So many......answered" is a truth which comes shining through.
Block up the window, lock and bolt the door... 😊 👍
Your stars and jellyfish paint a beautiful picture. As you said if we had eyes to look into the sea bottom and the sky what vision it will make at night . Thank you poet for taking me to all these places
Good write SC.
Interesting questions put to the stars viewed from a window. Surely not so mad Sax when inspired by that picture the star-crazy Vincent produced. Good read.
Mushrooms mate, thats wot they are and the moons a huge toad's tool.
I saw it all in a dream.
That's a beautiful way of looking at the stars. Loved it 🙂
