What a waste of a day!
A day that would be filled
With the things I enjoy.
But no, not this day.
A plumber was coming,
At least was due to come.
Luckily nothing important,
Just to fix the water supply
To my garden hose.
And there I was waiting,
Waiting all day.
Did he turn up?
No he did not!
A day where I felt trapped,
Trapped in the house.
Mind you I suppose one thing came,
Came out of the day.
I cooked five loaves of bread,
I suppose I should go and catch two fish now,
Then I can feed the five thousand!

Lol ) did you actually cook five loaves of bread ... I wouldn’t be able to do that . Not nice to feel a day is wasted ... I’ve had many of those days where just not the way I want them to bev
Yes I did cook five loaves of bread, two white loaves and three white flour and mixed grain loaves. I cannot remember the last time I bought a loaf of bread, I haver been cooking my own bread for many years.

Sounds like a nice thing to do , Andy 🙂I bet that tastes so much nicer than some bread that you buy ... like if you were able to make a pizza that would be better than a bought one .
Sorry I hope that didn’t come across as rude ... I just wasn’t sure if that was fact or a fictional part of the poem ...
I bet they taste really nice
No need to apologise, not rude at all yellowrose.
I believe they do and others also enjoy them as well as I sometimes give a loaf to friends.
Yes I have made pizza dough as well.

A fine write Gold.
Somewhere it says '5,000 men, besides women and children'. You got them two fish now?!
Going out to catch them today Orchi.

"Always look on the bright side of life...." And you do Andy, without exception - should the Good Ship MPS ever hit an iceberg and sink, your light would be the last to go out!
I can smell that bread from here - definitely time for tea.
So kind Dave, thank you.

Plenty of time to watch star trek then?

Back in the 70's i was a rep and knew every plumber in Evesham.... there were loads and they all had phones.
Back in the day you could trust people to arrive.

A tradesman's best asset is his communication skill. Sorry Andy I won't be there today because.....blah blah blah... what does it cost? but what does it gain?
Am one of those who love home-made bread and making those five loaves would at least help the waiting dear Andy - - hope the plumber when he does come goes home hungry without ere a slice.
Thanks Fay, there is no way the plumber, if he does come, will have a slice.
Andy
That's a funny one😄 . Home made bread, yummy , and that too 5 loaves. Great . A funny poem and loaves of bread. Your day is not wasted at all .😀

Andy
🍞 love freshly baked 🥖
You are not alone in that John.
Andy
Maybe he's a fresh baked plumber? 🤔
Or he is still plumbing the depths!
