Jesus said to disciples, Who

Do men say I am? Do

Tell me, I be the Son of man

Men's replies tell [me] you can

 

They said, Some say that John you be

The Baptist, you be he

Or Elijah, Jeremiah

Or prophet of old sure

 

Jesus then said, But who ay you

I am? What think you true?

Simon Peter said, You the Christ be

Son of God completely

 

The Son of the living God here

Messiah, you appear

Anointed One, from God you sent

With message to repent

 

Jesus said, Blessed Simon you be

For this not humanly

Revealed to you, my Father, He

In heaven, showed you, see
